I would like to give my hearty recommendation for Tracy Lorenz's My Daddy is a Pilot. The text and photo illustrations are clear and inviting. The intended audience appears to be preschooler through early elementary, although some adults would learn a thing or two about the job of being an airline pilot and the basic terminology used in the industry. I probably should mention that my father was an Air Force pilot and I only wish I had a book like this when I was a youngster. It would have given me a much better idea of what Dad was doing when he was at work. Again, I highly recommend this informative book for young children.

Great Overview for Little Ones

What a wonderful book to explain to children about aircraft. Many airplane books only point to the wing and don't show where the actual aileron is on the plane. This book provides an exceptional overview of the airplane, the mission and the role of the pilot! I can't wait to share it with more of our friends!

Our sons adore this book. They now point at planes and identify the parts at 2 & 3 years old. It also helps when their daddy is away flying planes.
